Honestly feeling a bit stressed right now because we just got slapped with a penalty from the municipality during their surprise inspection at our Jebel Ali warehouse, and the officer said our storage containers for the industrial cleaning fluids don't meet the updated UAE standards that came into effect earlier this year. I had no idea there were new requirements, and now I'm scrambling to replace about twelve units before their follow-up visit next month. The whole situation has me questioning if our supplier sold us substandard stuff, or if we just didn't keep up with the changing rules, but what I really need to know is which specific certifications I should be looking for on the labels and what the actual color coding system means for different chemical categories. If anyone has gone through this recently and can recommend a supplier who actually understands the local regulations inside out, I'd be incredibly grateful, because I'm finding all this technical jargon about UN ratings and permeability testing pretty overwhelming. I've been browsing online and saw some options for IBC tanks in UAE, but I'm honestly not sure what separates a compliant one from something that'll land me in more trouble down the line, and I really can't afford another fine or any downtime with our operations.
